Welcome To Subway State

Well, well.  Welcome to Subway State, everyone.

Apparently I struck a chord with some of you.  So far, some of you think I’m a whiney little bitch.  Others are cheering me on in agreement.  Some of you are even respectfully pointing out your opinions, however different from mine they may be.  The great thing:  all sides are speaking up, so at least I am not left getting totally trashed over what I’m saying.

While it may not have been my goal to get quoted in Wonkette or Washington Post Express over this problem (no, really…cuz I was seriously just venting when I wrote that), I certainly appreciate the recognition and hope it benefits someone in some way, whether it be on my bus line or someone else’s.

I hope you get a chance to check out the rest of the blog.

I respect your opinion. I hope you’ll think about what I said. 5 minutes earlier

You don’t ever need to explain yourself. Especially to a bunch of people on the Internet.

Heh, I didn’t realize that was you until just now. Congrats for attracting all the WMATA-lovers to the site. Who knew they existed?

All I can say is that MJ doesn’t know what he’s talking about if he thinks all Metrobuses are on NextBus. But do go on that site sometime and watch a busline that is enabled. You’ll learn a lot. I love to watch the 90-92 buses bunch-up on the little Google Maps rendering of their route.

Ultimately, though, NextBus offers the solution, at least for people on the Internets. You can watch it and determine when that scheduled bus will actually get to your stop, and show up no more than 3 minutes in advance. To all the slobs waiting in the cold rain, you’ll be a genius. Hated, but genius.
