Don’t get shanked by any Amy lookalikes!!!
So I went to the doctor this morning to get something checked out. He took care of it in short order, making some recommendations on how to improve my overall gastro health. This visit was also to check test results. I don’t know if I told you all, but there were thoughts that an alien might be growing in my chest and be bout ready to pop out.
If you please, no jokes about me waking up with no memory of what happened covered in a strange ooze. That’s SO 10 years ago. ;-P (Click the link to keep reading.)
The color of their lipstick. Anyone who saw tonight’s debate now knows that pink is not John’s color. And whoever chose the color of his foundation didn’t turn all of the lights on to make sure they got it right.
Last night, I had the pleasure of playing music at Science Club for Washington Post’s Date Lab (www.washingtonpost.com/datelab) couple. WIll it work out? You never know! But here at Subway State, we wish them all the best. Way to go!!
I published a list of tracks they heard last night during their date. They will both be receiving copies of it via the iTunes Gift Store. Click here or on the picture above to preview or purchase the playlist yourself. The link requires iTunes to function.
There is a pesky, yet interesting application on Facebook called “Compare People” that allows you to choose whether one friend or the other is a better fit for a posed question. Who studied harder in school? Who is more attractive? Who would you rather be stuck with in a pair of handcuffs…or on an island? Who is smarter? Who is a better kisser? More extreme question pools might include who is better to have sex with…or who smells funny.
Many of these questions would hopefully be answered by people’s experiences with the two randomly picked people from their friend pool. To do otherwise would simply introduce a margin for error. And the more “friends” you have on Facebook, the more responses you stand to get. (Keep in mind that in order to play this game, you have to have it installed on your own profile.)
This morning I opened up an email that provided a report on my top strengths and weaknesses as decided upon by people I know on Facebook. Apparently among my votes, I gained 1st place in 5 categories. Best singer, best room mate, funnier, best taste in music and most useful. Who knew?
These, I like. They are nice little ego boosts. But I have to wonder who I was compared to. I can think of plenty of my friends who are just as great or better than me at any of these. Have you seen this application? What do you think of it?
