KARAOKE TONIGHT

Friday, August 29th, 2008

I am hosting Remingtons tonight. Come out.

Puppies and Kitties and Gym Bunnies OH MY

Thursday, August 21st, 2008

As you can see I’ve been a bit out of touch the past few days. So
much for the Gymness series. I’m still going to the gym, mind you.
But I haven’t made time to write about it here. Feh. I will again
soon. Still weigh around 140. But my progress pictures look great.
Feeling good but still feel like I am not getting enough sleep. That
could be due to something on the work front I won’t discuss here. Too
juicy for words I tell ya!!

The house cleaners came last weekend. The place looks cleaner and
more spacious. Love it. I think the place needed it after 4 years of
7 people and 6 pets. (Not all at the same time.) And what did we have
to do but fill it up again? For benefit of the current dog, we now
have a puppy named Titus. He is a chocolate lab, AKC-certified
purebread. He can so far do no wrong. I’m keeping my iPhone on
me…. Zahnn the black lab consumed or destroyed no less than 3
remotes, 2 phones, a can opener and all of the cables to my DJ setup.

830am and I have already brought over 90k in the door. Good start to
a trend, or downward spiral….? If that and the way I’ve been making
friends out of gym mates lately is any indication of my karma then I
am getting mine. Fucking finally.

Hellboy 2 – Don’t

Thursday, August 14th, 2008

If you want to save yourself the money…don’t bother watching Hellboy 2 until it’s free.  And if you know me…hell, if you know us…you know we don’t say that about a movie unless it was just…really bad.  To sum it up in brief, it was almost an unintentional attempt at fantasy/comedy.  I wonder if they will even come close to breaking even – I haven’t looked it up and I probably won’t.

Gymness Day 5

Thursday, August 14th, 2008

I took Endothil-CR for the first time yesterday.  I worked out thoroughly, each muscle group to exhaustion as the instructions said.  Legs, arms, chest, the works.  Kas wasn’t able to join me, but he would have approved.

I was then up until 2am for a lack of sleepiness.  But this time…it felt like I was surrounded by a bubble of heat like a priest would be by their Power Word : Shield in World of Warcraft.  I was also oddly able to breath steam like it was regular air in the steam room….  That was a truly odd experience.  Unsure if Endothil is to blame.

138 at the scale this morning.

5 Years of Subway State Already!?!?

Thursday, August 14th, 2008

Yesterday was the beginning of a new era. But then again…so is every day with me. I’m always coming up with new and exciting ideas and deciding eventually there isn’t enough time in the world to implement it all. But you might like this one.  Ready? I am taking this website to print. When it happens is another story. But much like other great examples of websites that turn into a book, I think there is enough material from 5 years to pull from and organize.  And there is plenty of material I haven’t published here for many reasons.  Then the challenge will be getting someone to publish it.  Sometimes it feels like I didn’t even write some of this stuff.  It really shows how I’ve changed in 5 years.  And to think I hated writing a journal in college.

Will You Be #14?

Tuesday, August 12th, 2008

Be the next to be featured on this here website for your taste in tunes! Get onto iTunes and compile a list (approximately 78 minutes long for CD convenience) that you would play in a modern lounge while socializing and sipping your drink. Send your list, along with the address of your blog (or not) and a lil blurb about yerself to this email address (making sure to reply to any spam confirmation you receive back or I won’t see it). You can even send me your picture if you want!

I’ll take care of posting the list to the iTunes store with a similar description.  Then you can send the link to your buddies and promote purchasing music!  I’ll also write a post on it, and add a link for your playlist on the right side of the site. Your selections will be featured as I play at Science Club on Thursdays. Help promote the purchase of music! :) The previous guests are listed below. Can’t wait to hear from you.  ENJOY!

Past·Guest·Room·Sets (and the blog sites of the Guests…)   Links to music require iTunes.

And remember – keep it interesting.  Nothing too mainstream if you can manage it.  This is about exploring the different things that are out there – something people might not have heard had you not pointed it out.  And for those guests that want to come back…all I need is another list!  Cheers!

Gymness Day 4

Tuesday, August 12th, 2008

A few things to start off the morning, but first the gym. Kas and I wrote down everything we did at the gym yesterday. So that’s two sets of exercises I have written down. I’ll publish them soon.  Pretty soon I’ll have a chart to go by. I have not taken notes of the leg exercises we did on Sunday. I have to be careful with those, too. I have a broken foot as it is…and I overextended it my first time back to tip-toe pressing.

Yesterday I went to the good doctor for some good news…and got it. So that was nice. Though there is a strange looking mole(?) that we were going to biopsy, but he didn’t have the tool.. When I come back for a follow-up he’s going to take it off. It wasn’t there a few months ago, so I’ve taken special note. I don’t recall ever having seen something like it.

Yesterday was the hardest workout I’ve done yet. It could be due to some lacking energy. The doctor gave me something for the pain, and I had taken some a few hours prior. But I made it through. I even met a guy at the end of it all. I don’t care who you are, that’s just always nice. And for those of you raising your eyebrows, please…have ya met me? Us? Someone recently asked me if Boodaddy feels threatened at all by things like that, or if I feel threatened when he makes a new pal. Umm…not at all. That’s called stability and trust. For some reason…and I don’t know why…the impression I have received from DC gay guys over the years is one of inherent mistrust for the guy they are dating from the get. Sometimes it never wears off, despite how long they are together…which is typically no longer than 6 months as a generality. Talk about bitter…. I’m sure it’s not like that all of the time, but when you get that topic brought up a lot it kinda makes you go “wow…really?”.

The guy had a great tattoo and I had to say so. Turns out he got it in Europe while living in Germany. Red outlined blue stars around the area of his back right shoulder. Just the right size. Workmanship was either so-so or the skin had changed some…but overall a great tattoo. Just that afternoon, I was thinking about the tattoo I am going to get. I can finally see it in my mind. Now it’s just about size and placement. (But isn’t it always?) ;-) The tattoo I am getting is my first name in D’ni (fictional phonetic language from Myst lore) with comparably tiny Matrix writing (visually backwards Japanese characters for the most part) trickling from it.

What else, what else…? OH! I slept last night, but had an anxiety attack in my sleep without waking up. That was hawt. *grumble* Something about being robbed or having my life or Boo’s life threatened. Not pleasant. So today I am a little tired, but wide awake as I usually am with a lack of sleep. But at least today is a gym-day off.
