On Being Mortified To A Point
Friday, June 29th, 2007I’ve written to you all about the topics of depression and mood-swings before. And if I recall, I mentioned that they do indeed happen to everyone. Well yesterday was one huge swing in the sad, but right direction. Let alone, if you please, the fact that the morning started with an argument with Boo. I assure you that it was only a straw to break a camel’s back. We’ve had arguments before. We are fine. Don’t worry about “us”. I did go to work in a bad mood yesterday, and I hadn’t had much sleep the night before…or that week. Part of it was insomnia. The other part and likely culprit…was the actual crux. Keep reading. I left a surprise for you at the end.
Latest Gossip, Or Ugly Truth?
Wednesday, June 27th, 2007I can understand being scared. I was scared once. I’ve been scared more than a few times. I am just paranoid like that. It’s built into my psyche. Being scared tempers you and keeps you safe from things you need safety from. But it’s a double edged sword. There are things you should be afraid of and things you shouldn’t be. On top of that, there is needless and selfish fear.
Regardless, being scared is no excuse to make yourself suffer all of the doubt and debilitating background funk with which you’re damaging your psyche. By doing this, you make the ones you love suffer with you unnecessarily. And that’s just wrong.
There is not a person on this planet who could pretend that eventually the mindset as described below wouldn’t drive a person to the brink of their own sanity after given enough time. It’s really sad to see this and know it’s a growing psychological pandemic.
Everyone should be aware of themselves in every fashion they can be, save bringing them to the point of hypochondriasis. But some people just let their fear of the unknown start digging a small and slow hole that only grows bigger and bigger…one that is sometimes imposed upon those unknowingly in the blast radius.
We need to, as a human society…improve the way we treat ourselves and each other to avoid mindsets like these form growing into our stream of thought if we are to progress toward any resemblance of a society that deserves to continue thriving.
That said, I am sad to say I am a tad bit disappointed with the news I read below. Latest gossip, or ugly truth? Either way…it is something that happens too often. This is one example, actually…of what you might hear me say from time to time about the behavioral differences between men and boys…regardless of their age….

George Michael is refusing to take an HIV test because he fears the result could come back as positive.
The gay singer revealed he has not had a test in over three years while filming for comedian Stephen Fry’s new television show HIV and Me.
The star, who was arrested in California in 1998 when he was caught initiating sex with a police officer in a public toilet, has now revealed his worries.
The producer of the show, Ross Wilson said: “George says he does not believe in tests. He says he finds the wait for results too harrowing and hasn’t had a test since at least 2004 due to his fears it might be positive.”

Missed Connection THIS!
Tuesday, June 26th, 2007How funny is this….see -all- of the previous post for reference before reading further.
Morning Tuesday Blips
Tuesday, June 26th, 2007- Apparently I have a list. I was made aware of this by a blog comment, and that said commenter was no longer on it. But I don’t know what list this is.
I have any number of things in the form of a list but the context of something no longer being on one of them could be anything.
- Thankful and disappointed that a couple certain pride-photos have gone missing. Hehehehe…..I really liked them, scandalous and silly as they were. Let the record show that I didn’t mind them a bit. Someone else (whoever that is) probably did though. And rightly so, I guess. Can someone at least send me copies?
Click here to keep readin…look for the part in bold before reading the missed connection….
Science Club Twice This Week
Sunday, June 24th, 2007The Vodka Manx Absence and Next Week’s Presence!!
Thursday, June 21st, 2007I was ever so pleased to start getting the ‘where-are-you’ texts this evening. Apparently the lot of you went to hear us at Science Club, but only to find The Vodka Manx absent from the scene.
That’s correct. For the first time since we started, we actually had to miss a night. Rex is honkerin down to move into his new place and suffered the ineptitude of The DC bus system all day long. I’m not sure what happened but he was also apparently indisposed. I am in a car with BooDadday on the way back to DC from the beach house in North Carolina. So there was no way for me.
Next week, though…we are back in full effect for Thirsty!Thursday and Launch!Saturday. We hope to see ya there. I have cut a new single I want you to hear. Specificaly there is a certain person I want to hear my remix of “Me I’m Not” by NIN.
Cheers!
